12- My new computer does not have a parallel port to which I can connect my Parallel DecoTech Pro Electronic Key (Hardlock).

It is out of our control that computer manufacturers are no longer supporting parallel port devices with their new computers.  In year 2002 we have begun to use USB port hardlocks instead of Parallel port hardlocks.

The solution for new tower and desktop computers with expansion slots is to purchase, for a very affordable price, a parallel port expansion card and to connect your parallel electronic key to it.  (Click here)

Remember that there is no interaction between your electronic key and your printer.  So if you have a parallel printer, you do not need to have absolutely a parallel electronic key.  And in the same way if you have a USB printer, you do not need to have absolutely a USB electronic key.  Your printer can even be connected to another computer and accessed via your local area network (LAN), but your electronic key must be connected locally to the computer running DecoTech.

It exists on the market some USB-to-Parallel adapters but those cables are incompatible with a parallel electronic key.  The electronic key is a security device and the software driver must access it directly thru the hardware port channel and not thru a software emulation port channel.

In order to accommodated our old customers whose cannot find a fix to this problem, we have created the DecoTech Pro Electronic Key (Hardlock) Parallel to USB Port Exchange Plan.  They are specific rules to follow if you want to use this offer so read carefully the procedures to avoid delays and extra charges.
