missing file

I have just installed decotech professional 6 on a new computer, my existing hardlock key is the parallel port version from my last computer which I cannot use now as the new computer does not have a parallel port .I had hoped to be able to do some drawings and save them on the computer while I got a USB hardlock key sorted out,but when I try to open the programme I get an error message saying the file "hlvdd.dll" is missing, is this because there is no hardlock key connected at the moment. Is there any temporary solution to this
